How MEXAFLOX-MS Works
MEXAFLOX-MS contains Ofloxacin, Metronidazole and Simethicone, which work through different mechanisms.

Simethicone works differently. It reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract, helping them combine and pass more easily. Therefore, it may help reduce bloating and gas-related abdominal discomfort.
MEXAFLOX-MS Side Effects
Like other medicines, MEXAFLOX-MS may cause side effects in some people. Possible effects can include:

Before using MEXAFLOX-MS, tell your doctor about your medical history and all medicines you currently take.
In particular, inform your healthcare professional if you:
- Have an allergy to Ofloxacin, other quinolone antibiotics, Metronidazole or any formulation ingredient
- Have a history of tendon problems related to quinolone antibiotics
- Have seizures or other neurological conditions
- Have kidney or liver problems
- Have heart rhythm problems
- Have a history of peripheral neuropathy
- Are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Take medicines that may affect heart rhythm
- Take medicines that interact with Ofloxacin or Metronidazole
Avoid alcohol during treatment with Metronidazole and for the period advised by your healthcare professional after the last dose, because alcohol may cause an unpleasant reaction.
Also, fluoroquinolone antibiotics can interact with certain medicines and mineral-containing products. Therefore, tell your doctor or pharmacist about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and supplements you use.

Dosage and Administration
Take MEXAFLOX-MS only according to the dosage and duration prescribed by your healthcare professional.
- Shake the bottle well before use.
- Measure the suspension using an appropriate measuring device.
- Take the prescribed quantity at the recommended time.
- Do not use a household spoon for measuring the medicine.
- Do not take more than the prescribed dose.
- Complete the prescribed course if your doctor has advised antibiotic treatment.
- Do not stop treatment early unless your healthcare professional tells you to do so.
- If you miss a dose, follow your healthcare professional’s instructions rather than taking an extra dose.
