Uses of GNUORA
GNUORA may be used for the local management of pain and discomfort associated with minor mouth ulcers and inflammatory lesions of the oral mucosa.
Depending on the condition, it may help with:

- Local inflammation associated with minor oral lesions
- Temporary relief of painful oral sores

The underlying cause of recurrent or persistent mouth ulcers should be assessed by a healthcare professional. GNUORA provides symptomatic relief and does not necessarily treat the underlying cause of an ulcer.

How GNUORA Works
Each ingredient contributes a specific action.
Choline Salicylate belongs to the salicylate group and provides local analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. It can help reduce inflammatory discomfort associated with minor lesions of the oral mucosa.
Lignocaine HCl is a local anaesthetic. It temporarily blocks the transmission of nerve signals from the treated area, producing a local numbing effect and reducing the sensation of pain.
Together, these ingredients provide complementary symptomatic relief by addressing both local inflammatory discomfort and pain.
Common Side Effects of GNUORA
Some people may experience temporary local effects after applying the gel. These may include:
- Temporary numbness of the mouth
- Mild burning or stinging
- Local irritation
- Changes in taste
- Temporary tingling
- Redness or discomfort at the application site
Lignocaine can cause excessive numbness if too much product is applied or if it is swallowed in significant amounts.
Stop using GNUORA and seek medical advice if you develop significant swelling, difficulty breathing, widespread rash or other symptoms suggesting an allergic reaction.
Important Safety Information
Use GNUORA only according to the product label or the advice of a dentist, doctor or pharmacist.
- For topical oral use only. Do not swallow the gel intentionally.
- Apply only the recommended amount to the affected area.
- Do not use more frequently than directed.
- Avoid applying the gel over large areas of the mouth.
- Excessive use of Lignocaine-containing products can increase the risk of systemic adverse effects.
- Take care while eating or drinking immediately after application because local numbness can reduce normal sensation in the mouth and throat.
- Avoid very hot food and beverages while the treated area remains numb to reduce the risk of accidental burns.
- Do not use GNUORA if you have previously experienced an allergic reaction to Lignocaine, Choline Salicylate or any other ingredient in the formulation.
- Tell your healthcare professional about any other medicines or oral products you are using.
- Do not apply the gel to severely damaged or extensively ulcerated tissue unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Children should use oral gels containing local anaesthetics only according to age-specific product directions and professional advice.
- Seek dental or medical advice if an ulcer lasts longer than expected, repeatedly returns, becomes unusually large or painful, or is associated with other symptoms.
- Persistent or recurrent mouth ulcers may have causes that require professional assessment rather than continued symptomatic treatment.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare professional before using the product.
- Keep GNUORA out of reach of children.
For additional information about mouth ulcers and when professional assessment may be appropriate, refer to the NHS guidance on mouth ulcers.
Dosage & Administration
Apply GNUORA exactly as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional.
Wash your hands before application. Apply a small amount of gel directly to the affected mouth-ulcer area using a clean fingertip or according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Gently spread the gel over the affected area without rubbing aggressively. Allow the product to remain in contact with the affected area as directed.
The frequency of application depends on the formulation, age of the user and severity of symptoms. Because the exact manufacturer’s dosing instructions were not provided, a fixed number of applications should not be assumed.
Do not apply excessive quantities in an attempt to obtain faster pain relief. Excessive use of Lignocaine can increase systemic exposure and may cause adverse effects.
Avoid eating or drinking very hot food or beverages while the treated area remains numb.
If symptoms persist, worsen or repeatedly return, consult a dentist or healthcare professional.

- Store GNUORA in a cool, dry place.
