Description
STOEX-B6 is a urinary stone-support formulation containing Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate and Vitamin B6 in an oral solution. The formulation is intended to provide supportive urinary care and may help maintain a urinary environment that is less favourable for certain types of stone formation. It is supplied as a convenient 200 ML stone syrup.
Potassium citrate can increase urinary citrate and urinary pH, which can reduce the tendency of certain stone-forming salts to crystallize. Its use depends on the type of urinary stone and the patient’s clinical assessment.

Uses of STOEX-B6
STOEX-B6 may provide supportive urinary care in conditions where citrate supplementation and urinary alkalinization are appropriate.
It may help with:
- Supportive management of selected urinary stone conditions.
- Support for patients prone to urinary crystallization when citrate therapy is appropriate.
- Urinary alkalinization through its Potassium Citrate component.
- Support for maintaining urinary citrate levels.
- Symptomatic urinary support where burning during urination is associated with an underlying condition being medically assessed.
- Adjunctive urinary care as recommended by a healthcare professional.
Potassium citrate is used clinically for selected conditions including hypocitraturic calcium oxalate stones and uric-acid lithiasis. However, not all kidney stones respond to urinary alkalinization in the same way, so treatment should follow stone analysis or appropriate clinical evaluation.
Note: Burning during urination can occur with urinary tract infections and other urinary conditions. STOEX-B6 should not be used as a substitute for diagnosis or appropriate treatment of the underlying cause.
Key Benefits of STOEX-B6
- Contains Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate and Vitamin B6.
- Supports urinary care in selected stone-forming conditions.
- Potassium Citrate helps increase urinary citrate and urinary pH.
- May help create a urinary environment less favourable to crystallization of certain stone-forming salts.
- Provides supportive care for crystalluria when clinically appropriate.
- Convenient oral solution formulation.
- Supplied in a 200 ML pack.
How STOEX-B6 Works
Potassium Citrate is metabolized to provide an alkaline load, which can increase urinary pH and urinary citrate. Increased urinary citrate can bind calcium and reduce the availability of calcium for some stone-forming processes. Higher urinary pH can also increase the solubility of uric acid.
Magnesium Citrate provides magnesium and citrate, while Vitamin B6 contributes to normal nutritional metabolism. The exact role of these components in the complete STOEX-B6 formulation depends on their formulation strengths, which were not provided.
Common Side Effects of STOEX-B6
Some people may experience:
- Nausea
- Stomach discomfort
- Abdominal bloating
- Diarrhoea
- Vomiting
- Changes in bowel habits
Potassium-containing citrate products can cause electrolyte disturbances, particularly when used in excessive amounts or in people with impaired kidney function.
