How MECOHEX-NP Works
Pregabalin binds to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the nervous system. This reduces the release of certain neurotransmitters involved in abnormal nerve signalling and can help reduce neuropathic pain.
Nortriptyline belongs to the tricyclic antidepressant group. When used for nerve pain, it changes the way nerves process and transmit pain signals. Therefore, it can help reduce persistent nerve-related discomfort.
Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B12 involved in normal neurological function and red blood cell formation. Consequently, it provides nutritional support alongside the medicines used for nerve pain.

Important Safety Information
Use MECOHEX-NP only according to the advice of a doctor or pharmacist.
Pregabalin and Nortriptyline can cause drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision. Therefore, do not drive, operate machinery or perform activities requiring full alertness until you know how the medicine affects you. Alcohol can also increase drowsiness.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, heart problems, liver disease, glaucoma, urinary retention, epilepsy or other significant medical conditions. Pregabalin requires dose adjustment in adults with reduced kidney function, while nortriptyline may not be suitable for some people with heart or other medical conditions.
Also, inform your healthcare professional about all medicines you take. In particular, medicines that cause drowsiness, certain antidepressants, opioids and other medicines affecting the nervous system may increase the risk of adverse effects.
Do not stop MECOHEX-NP suddenly without medical advice. Pregabalin should be tapered gradually rather than stopped abruptly, and nortriptyline may also require gradual dose reduction to reduce withdrawal symptoms.
Seek urgent medical attention if you develop facial or throat swelling, difficulty breathing, fainting, a fast or irregular heartbeat, severe confusion or other serious symptoms.
For additional information about Pregabalin, refer to the NHS guidance on Pregabalin.
Dosage & Administration
The appropriate dose and treatment duration depend on the patient’s condition, response to treatment, kidney function, age and other medicines being taken. Therefore, take MECOHEX-NP only in the dose prescribed by your healthcare professional.
Swallow the tablet with water. It may be taken with or without food unless your doctor provides different instructions.
Because Pregabalin requires dose adjustment in patients with reduced renal function, do not change the dose yourself.
If you miss a dose, follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions. Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed dose.
